Wat a relaxing day!
What a wonderful relaxing day for the family! We had a wonderful sleep in, Emmy didn't wet the bed the third night in a row :-) As a family we stayed in bed half the morning, then got up had some breaky, and then went to bed again lol. The best thing I love about waking up in the morning, is the full body hugs that Gracey gives me when I get her out of her cot and bring her back to bed, the ways she gives me little grunts and moans when I ask if she had a good sleep, it's like having a many conversation with a 17mth old. I love the way Emmy comes into our room with such enthusiasm and announces 'good morning mummy mum, I'm awake now:)" it's makes my heart smile! After our lazy morning in bed we had a spot of lunch and dad took Emmy to visit tich's grave. Tich was dads step dad for a few years before your granny met gramps:) so after u payed ur respects dad said that he took Em to time zone and u played heaps of games. When u came home u were so excited to show me the lipgloss that dad had won u. Whilst Em and dad did that, Gracey and I chilled at home, I folded washing and she unfolded it as quick as I could fold it again, the cheeky girl lol. Cindy came over for a visit and brought the girls some little gifts that she bought back from Japan. Gracey didn't know what to do when Cindy was here, she went a little shy and just wanted to sit on my lap and cuddle for the first 15 mins, and then Gracey started to be cheeky with Cindy and tring to put the Minnie mouse ears on her. When dad and Emmy got home and Cindy gave Em her little gifts, and was amazed by Emmys manners. Lots of thank yous for Cindy, lol Em even asked Cindy if she could have a sleep over :-) was the ultimate cuteness! After Cindy left we quickly had dinner and went and visited nanny and pop, to make sure that nan was ok. The other day whilst we were at the doctors, nan was waiting for her breat cancer results, and they still didn't have them and nan got very upset. Emmy also asked nanny if she wanted to sleep over and she would look after her lol. Emmy is turning into such a compassionate little girl ;) haven't really made plans for tomorrow, we shall see where the day takes us! Remember Emmy and Gracey, mummy and daddy love you to the unicorn and back hehe (that's wats Emmy says to us at the moment) xxoo

My course today
Today i left you kiddies with ur dad, whilst i went and did my course in telephone counselling.
Today's topic was domestic violence.
This was the hardest topic Ive dealt with so far. The thing that really effected me with this section of the course is, they showed a case of Domestic Violence between a 16yr old teenage Girl and a 18yr old Man in Benella Australia.
It was described that when they started dating they became inseparable. He was older and didn't go to school like her, so he always met her before school, after school, before work and after work. They became 'meshed' together to the point they where almost seen as one.
The domestic violence was reported as starting off slowly, with one day the young man yelling at her in front of school, this quickly over time escalated to frequent verbal abuse and isolation to the point she never saw her friends unless he was their.
All her friends noticed the difference in her and noticed the abuse, but didn't know what they could do, could they help, was it abuse?
One day they where at her house and the neighbours heard screaming and went over to investigate. Approaching the front door the young teenager came running out screaming "he's hitting me help, help he's hitting me!" The Male neighbour went to go inside when the boyfriend came out and with out speaking a word, punched the neighbour in the mouth fracturing his jaw. No charges where laid, and their where no repercussions for the boyfriend.
Upon that event happening, it was told that the young teenager broke up with the boyfriend, but he kept following her and trying to persuade her to come back.
One night he persuaded her to go to the local park to talk. The talk turned into argument when she refused to take him back.
He responded with violence.
In a interview later given to the police by him, he firstly punched her in the face and knocked her to the ground. He then repeatedly bashed the back of her head on to a metal seat until her skull turned to jelly. After she passed out, he then repeatedly stamped on her face fracturing it. Even the nurses and doctors were astonished with the extent of her injuries.
He then left her for dead in the park.
A passerby alerted the police and she was flown to Melbourne hospital. She was barely alive. She remained in a coma for 3 weeks. When her eyes opened, she remained in a vegetable state(non responsive) for a further 3 weeks, to which the doctors could only put down to the experience was so traumatic she was still in shock.
When she did become responsive it was discovered she was permanently brain damaged.
She had to learn how to eat, walk and communicate (not talk, she could no longer talk).
She was 16 and he was 18.
This was meant to be love.
The parents noticed the warning signs and didn't know what to do. Hers friends noticed and didn't know what to do. If that neighbour had of reported and had the boyfriend charged, would the outcome of been different?
This scares the absolute crap out of me. I never ever want to think that my girls would ever be in this position. So i think that's why I am including this in the family blog.
I'm typing this for you to one day read.
It is your RIGHT to feel safe!
No one should ever yell at you to intimidate you, even a man that says he loves you.
That is not love, that Domestic Abuse.
A man should never control you and isolate you from your friends.
A man should never HIT you or force himself on you regardless if your in a relationship.
And more importantly, i hope that you girls read this and recognize the signs of domestic violence, and please do something about it!
You should NEVER have to make EXCUSES or take blame for why he yelled at you, or slapped you.
Most of all, i hope that you can come to me or your dad in any circumstance and we will never judge you, but we will support you and give you the tools to help yourself, or help you directly if that's what you want.
We will love you forever and ever girls xx

Little Miss Attitude!
Today we had a lazy Sunday, it was fantastic, first we had huge family snuggles in bed. But then Gracey kept getting food and kept trying to bring it in to bed with us lol. First she raided dads lunch box and then she some how got the tim tams down from the bench (maybe a little help from Em?) It was good having dad home, and spending time with him <3
After that we got home and you girls helped dad in the garden and Em told dad "thank you for working hard dad :)" that made daddy's day and very happy :) I went and did the grocery shop whilst dad got you showered and in your pjs, and when i got home with the groceries, Gracey was so happy to help unpack everything:) She is such a helpful little 1yr old when she wants to be xx After dinner both you girls hopped in Ems bed and Gracey... yes Gracey, read you guys a book before bed. Wat a lovely day :)
After our family snuggles ( which included Ems fav unicorn) we didn't really do much. We went to the village and had lunch. And you girls played in the park. I asked Emily if she wanted to go play before we go, and she replied 'don't be silly, I'm just going to sit here and eat my ships!" Talk about attitude from a 3yr old But that wasn't the worst thing she said... we went and visited Nan and Pop after the shop and Em turned to Nanny and said with such a sad voice "Nan, i PISSED the bed last night!" It was so hard to keep a straight face lol. I had to tell her with out giggling that we shouldn't say that word as its not a very nice word for little girls to say:) Whilst we where at Nans and Pops, both you girls thought it would be fun to climb up on poor old poppy and have him read u a book, which he was quite happy to do:)

I didnt wet my bed!!!
The third night of wearing no nappies for miss Em and she did us proud, she didn't wet the bed :) I couldn't be prouder of my little angel! You were so proud of yourself this morning when you came running into our bedroom singing "i didn't wet the bed" and turning in circles and jumping up and down! I think i was as excited as you! I thought it would of taken longer!
So today Grace you went and stayed at Nanny's and Poppy's house for a few hours and when i got their you didn't even wanna give me a kiss hello :( it made me sad that you didn't miss me as much as i missed you! your such a cheeky little monkey every time i asked you for a kiss or hug you quickly ran away before i had time to scoop you up! Nanny and poppy sad you had a fantastic time gardening and talking to Roxy dog, and that you were the perfect angel :) Whilst Grace was spending time at Nanny and Poppy's i took Em to auntie Bec's dance class, and today you went dressed as a princess because afterwards we had ur friends Jess's 5th birthday. Today at Jess's birthday was the first time you ever rode a horse! even though it was a small horse you were still brave and hopped up and had a ride! and after woulds you gave it such big cuddles! We stayed at Jess's for a couple of hours but you were a bit grumpy from not sleeping properly the night b4, so you just wanted to play inside or play my little pony's on the Ferris wheel with me :) When we went and picked Gracey up, the first thing you did was take the toy that Grace was playing with and made her cry :( so because you were both in grumpys we said our goodbyes and went home for the day and had pizza for dinner. You didn't get to see much of daddy today cause he worked very late, and buy the time he got home, he only had time to read you one book before bed. Today Emmy told me that i was her best friend, and that she loved me to the moon and back :) And tonight Gracey has woken up and she's a little bit sick, so we had some special cuddles, whilst i sang her maroon 5's song she will be loved :), and now daddy is reading her a book on the couch. Everyday, you two never cease to surprise me, with ur little antics and your sisterly love, All Gracey wants to do is follow her big sister around and be like her :) Its a beautiful thing, But Emmy doesn't quite realise yet that Gracey just wants to be like her, and isn't purposely trying to annoy her.... that's Em's fav thing to say at the moment.... mum Gracey's annoying me!! xx

a mothers worrys
Even though you girls are only 1 and 3 years old. Already i have so many fears or wat could happpen as u grow up. I never want to see ur beautiful faces bruised from a fight at school or a nightclub. I want you to be the best you can be and will support both you with wat ever paths you choose in life. I promise i will be their to wipe your tears, for when the first boy breaks your heart, because trust me it will happen, and it will probably happen quite a few times. I hope you are surrounded by beautiful friends and aren't bullied at school, and i hope you look at all children as equals and don't become a bully either. I know i cant be their all the time to protect you.. but im going to try my best! Words can never describe how much i love you girls, my heart hurts at the though of you growing up and not needing me anymore. I just hope that even though i know we will have our own ups and downs together, and some days you will say you hate me, i hope you will always know i will be here xx
how about the neighbours??
Today i was sooooo tired when you kids woke me up! I actually told Emmy to go get the tim tams of the bench and have them for breakfast lol. You guys were sooo happy that you didnt have to have wheatbix and strawberry's. Gracey had chocolate smooshed all over her face, and Emmy kept offering her more, such a sweet sister. It makes my heart smile when Emmy calls Grace her little darlin' :) After i finally motivated myself to get up, i actually made you guys ur traditional breakfast but you didn't want a bar of it after the tim tams lol. what was i thinking! I ended up cleaning up little chocolate hand prints from all the doors lol. After that ur nanny came over for a cuppa, and we made plans to go see Aunty barbs and snowy after lunch. It was so funny, when nanny got her, both of the girls had just hopped out of the shower and Emmy you walked in with your head held high and a towel wrapped around you and declared that you were the nudey princess. and then Gracey you where a little naughty and tried to scratch me when i tried to take the toothpaste off you(for someone that had only 9 teeth, you love brushing them :))so i popped you in bed. When Gracey woke up, we popped over to the neighbours house to check out their new caravan, and Emmy did not want to leave i had to bribe her to come home cause nanny was their, and promise that you could go visit when we got home. So then we went in the car to see Aunts barbs and snowy and you girls were so good when you where their... well except maybe you Gracey :) you think its a bit of a game getting mum to chase you lol. Auntie Barbs and snowy thought you were the most beautiful perfect little girls. As we left their house, i thought... hell yes.... Miss Emmy has forgotten about going back over to the neighbours. But shoe enough you pipe up from the back seat, are we going to the neighbours now? i think they miss me!!! HAHAHA Emmys memory always surprises me! Whilst Emmy was over their, Aunty Bec (lukes sister) came over, and Gracey you were all over auntie Bec's dog, and then you were out in the back yard chasing Jack rabbit, and you were actually calling his name... jaccckkkk. ts the cutest thing ever! It made me smile so much! and then poor auntie Bec had to keep pushing you on the bike cause you would start crying if she stopped. After Auntie Bec left, and Emmy came home from the neighbours, daddy came home from work, and Emmy received her first letter in the mail :) she was soooo excited, it was a invite for Jess's birthday.... she went screaming into the kitchen DAD DAD DAD DAAAAADDDD!!!! I HAVE A DJSKJHFKHFKSHJKSWDE..... She got soooo excited she started to speak gibberish lol. After that i showered you guys, read you a book and then dad read u a book, and then off to bed you went. Today we didn't put a nappy on Em, cause we are trying to get her out of the habit of wearing them to bed. So fingers crossed she doesn't wet the bed!! Alot has happened with mum this week. The mammogram she had came back with 2 blackmasses in her boobs, and the camera up the bum test found a 5cm polyip that has to be removed. So fingers crossed it not cancer in either of those things! love to my family xxoo

The first blog of the rest of our lives - the Family :)
Oh Miss Gracey! You have been one destructive little girl this week! So far you have stolen my seeing glasses and broke the arm of them. And then you decided it was a good idea to smash the screen on my laptop! I didn't get angry or yell at u for either of those thing, because I'm sure you don't realize eat you have done is naughty! But it's hard not to get angry lol. I rang dad to tell him that you smashed the laptop, and he said, as long as it wasn't the iPad lmao. Apart from GraceyOh trail of destruction, after our lazy weekend, we have been busy with our little activitys. Em had 3yr old kinds Tuesday, she was so excited because she was given chocolate, due to it being someone's birthday their lol. And then Em had daycare Wednesday. And whilst Em was doing that, Gracey and I went to hey dee hoo music class. Gracey loves to dance, but she doesn't really like doing the hand actions, but she LOVES the maracas :-) apart from that it hasn't been a very eventful week. Emmy hasn't wet the bed for a few days, which I'm very proud of :) Gracey's started saying the word 'duck', so hopefully that means she will be saying a lot more soon. I can't wait to have beautiful little conversation with Gracey the way I do with Emmy. On that toe I better get of this and finish getting the girls ready for playgroup. Love you girls for ever and ever xxoo. Even if you do break mummy's stuff lmao
